bay anarchist free school (BAFS) is a collective effort of insurgent skillsharing. drawing on the legacy of popular education and building on the history of anarchist free schools in the bay area, this project aims to provide a space for liberatory exchange of practices, skills, and strategies to strengthen anarchist possibilities.

this is an experiment in what we anticipate being an ongoing project. currently we’re hosting two formats of classes:
shortform – (up to and including 3 sessions) longform (4 sessions or more) in trimesters: Jan-March, May-July, Sept-Nov. each trimester will include the classes themselves and then reflection on how things went and what our next steps could be. there are many other critical skills, subjects, and histories to cover–we invite you to consider what you might teach or how you’d want to get involved to help this project grow.
